Central Montana is rich with history. From a Native American Buffalo Jump to the greatest exploration adventure in our Country’s history, to unearthing discoveries on the Dinosaur Trail, you’ll find it all within and easy drive of Prewett Creek Inn.
Just a short distance from the Inn, follow in the footsteps of Lewis and Clark as you climb to the top of Tower Rock. Tower Rock was a landmark for native tribes, the Corps of Discovery, fur trappers, and traders.
The 400-foot high igneous rock formation towers above the Missouri River. A state park, visitors can learn about the geology and history of the site with five interpretive panels located at the trail head.
Located just 35 miles south of Great Falls and 56 miles north of Helena, Montana, day trips to explore the historical points are easy. Agriculture and prairie lands greet you as you head north to Great Falls. Here you’ll find brew pubs, farmer’s markets, shops, and the famous C. M. Museum. Watch the mermaid swim at the famous Sip ‘N Dip Lounge.
In Helena you will find Montana’s state capitol, colleges, and parks. Its vibrant downtown has shops, restaurants, pubs, and farmer’s market.
