Montana Trout Fishing

Wild Rainbow and Brown Trout

Arguably the dry best fly fishing on the Missouri River occurs April through October. Baetis blanket the water in spring and fall with Caddis, PMDs, Trico and Hoppers during the summer months. However, the fishing action isn’t just limited to the warmer months. Hardy anglers fish the Missouri year round as weather permits with streamers and nymphs.

Wade the river from any of the numerous fishing accesses or fish from a comfortable drift boat. We offer shuttle service, drift boat rentals and guided fishing from seasoned guides and outfitters.

Phil Camera’s Prewett Creek Inn & Fly Shop is just the right lodging to stay at when planning your next float trip down the famous trout waters of the Missouri River. We are located by the Prewett Creek Fishing Access on the Missouri River, about mid-way through the canyon, and in between Holter Dam and Cascade, Montana.
